I'm proud to say, I have never, and will never own a Bayliner.
I was once cruising the party beach at Powers Island in Grand Traverse Bay just north of Traverse City, MI. Over my exhaust, I hear some one shouting my name.... I look in the general direction of the voice and kill my motor. There is a 22' Bayliner anchored on the sand bar right where I thought the voice came from. I kinda brushed it off, I don't know ANYONE who would be caught in that boat. Low and behold, it was my buddy Big Daddy Dave!! He had sold his 24 Outlaw to a guy who just had to have it (gave Dave what he was asking for it, no haggling at all! I need to find a guy like that for my boat). His buddy had this Bayliner sitting around and told Dave he could use it all summer for nothing as his wife was pregnant and having complications. Dave swore me to secrecy that day, but since none of you know him..... oh well!!
I also know an OSO member who went from a 29 Phantom to a Baja Bandit, to a Bayliner Capri!! Talk about backwards evolution!! I will admit, he got the Bayliner for free, and it ran and even floated!!

I just remember the name of that boat....THERAPIST!! It got me away from my ex wife for much needed R&R!
The name got turned around at Red Eyes Dock Bar's registration desk, while checking out I gave my slip # and she said.....So you're The Rapist (Therapist- The Rapist) The looks I got were priceless!!
