Picture resizing?

I know that this subject has been beaten to death on here, but can someone give me a quick rundown on how to resize a digtal image using Photoshop 7??

I am trying to get pics resized to post on this site, and I have resized the pic several times with no luck

What am I doing wrong?

doesn't this site resize them automaticly? I can resize them using the basic MS Photo Editor if you want.

print it and use seizors bro.. dam thing never work for me either..

hehe, thanks guys, Robby, thanks for the offer, but I want to figure out how to do thid myself.

Usually the oso resizer takes care of everything, but the past few times I have tried it hasnt worked

From PhotoShop 5,5

Load the image into photoshop
Choose the IMAGE menu
Pick IMAGE SIZE from the menu
Within this diaolg box, change the WIDTH to 640
The height will follow along keeping the picture proprotions
Choose OK
Chose the FILE menu
Pick SAVE FOR WEB from this menu
Within the dialog box, make sure you have JPEG and HIGH chosen
Choose OK
Save the file as a new name


Hope this helps. The idea is to get the file size small enough for OSO to accept it.
