Default Have you had one of those days?

Ever have that feeling that you have that perpetual rain cloud over your head? Well, check this out. I'm at "MKE" on the lower left coat of Lake Michigan.

Tim- it has to be the lake kicking this up today. It was snowing all morning in Chicago while I was at work. I drove 15 miles west towards Rockford, and it hadn't snowed at all, or just light flurries at best.
The wind was out of the east in Chicago BTW.

Same thing here. I can see that the roads are snow covered and the traffic is going about 35. Translation: 1.5 hours to make a 20 minute trip.

Actually, this does nothing for the lake levels. It's all moisture that has evaporated off the lake! We need more storms from the South and the West, which as the season is going is not going to happen this year.

Cord is right, Lake Effect (which we see here in West Michigan nearly every day in the winter) actually LOWERS lake levels by pulling the moisture out of the lake and depositing it on land.

It was a perfectly sunny, FREEZING COLD day here today though.
