Nykamp: Thanks for the compliment. I'll let you guys know some speeds when we get her back in the water. The engines were delivered to Tres this week and the first one is in place and being rigged as we speak!

Here is a picture of one of the engines. I had them paint the blocks black so that all we have to do down the road is change the accessory colors to match the future paint job. It is all a little mis-matched now with 3 different colors under the engine hatch, but it will come out great when it is finished.

Right now I am just anxious to get her back in the water and have some fun with it. She may look a little rough around the edges this season, but it should run and operate like a clock! After this summer, if the funds allow, we'll put together a paint job and take care of all of the cosmetic detail work. Then the boat will be pretty much back to the level that it deserves.

I know that you have been through a lot with this boat. It`s great that you are stepping up to the plate and saving it.

Thanks guys. I certainly think that this boat is worth saving. Some people think that we are crazy for putting big bucks into these old boats, but there is just something about the classic Apaches that I absolutely love. It will take us a few years to get it 100% done, but I honestly believe that it is going to be worth it when it is finished and like new again.
