That footage was shown on the news Sunday night. The guy in the little pick up truck dropped a weapon (supposedly a surface-air/grenade launcher) near the tractor looking thing. Look at the second guy that gets blasted. Just before he gets it, he is taking the cover off the launcher......... never even got it to his shoulder.
The rest of them got it just for hanging out with the wrong crowd I guess.
News aired it trying to bash the way troops are "selecting" their targets.
I don't think were going deer hunting with it.
Targeting works for me!

CNN was running that the other day. Questioning the firing without provocation and firing on a wounded person. It was in IRAQ. The men were hiding RPG's in a field.
CNN's military analyst(love ex-generals) said they were erasing the possibility of a future threat and were completely justified. I couldn't agree more. He did say automatic CANNON fire may have been overkill, but it was the smallest weapon an Apache has.

"Questioning the firing without provocation"
Blah, blah, blah blah. These people dont understand what war is. They're the same ones who critisize police for shooting to kill. I actually heard a radio talk show host advocating shooting the guy in the leg in the Philly police beating!
I'm more upset the helicopter didn't hit the target on the first burst. If the guys in the field had time to use an anti-aircraft missile, that miss could have been a deadly mistake.

the first guy gets it ...... say ... some 10 to 15 yards from the second guy blowing bits of him at his feet; at this point does he put his hands in the air OR continue to arm the RPG ???......if he had time would he have fired on the apache ??? I THINK SO........ now guy three ; if he had a second RPG or could have got to the first RPG what would he do ??? exchange phone numbers with them ..... and finally the ANALYST/ ex general what would he have done/ordered in that situation ???

I also noticed that the operator did not go forward. Either the gun is off or the ricochet took out both of them. In either case these guys were shooting fish in a barrel
Can you imagine the other two when the first was shot, they had to know they were out gunned no matter what they held. They failed, as they should.
