Winter Project Boat: I bought an Apache
#182
Getting closer......new custom IMCO exhaust risers are in. Started 2 or the 3 motors. Port motor has an electrical problem on the boat.....bad ground maybe. Dash is 50% done. Check fit the new video install, need to finish that and install.

Too much of everything!
Too much money
Too much gas
Too much for new drives
Rarely have I put the throttles down all the way anyway. The boat is most fun at 40-45mph so no need to whipple. It would be cool and even more rare of a boat.
Do you have three to donate?
As you can see in that engine bay pic we added new custom risers that IMCO made for me to the port and starboard engines. Water jacketed till right before connecting to the new Gibson bullet mufflers. Virtually no chance of reversion on those motors now. They rise 16 inches and go back down. The stock Mercury risers with spacers always seemed to have issues due to water coming from the outside and just from the crappy design by Mercury. The exhaust is sitting only 3-4 inches above the waterline, less than that on the port motor port exhaust (see post 161). We also added 10" of internal pipe to the center engine risers so it mixes water and exhaust further down and not right where you see the connection there.
