1 Attachment(s)
Thats right we actually recieved some snow here in lower michigan.. We got 10" today. Just got done riding around like a crazy man  Nothing like running WFO through subdivisions :D

over last weekend I put on 240 miles, I am getting happier with the sled. wasn't to impressed with the hookup with 192 studs... more going in tommorrow :D

Whats the snow gossip around the state?

Travis

Playn 01-14-2004 08:01 PM

192 is plenty for that 800

Glad you got to tear up the neighborhood a bit:D

Waterfoul 01-14-2004 08:27 PM

We got abot 3-4" here.....Holland got less

traviss 01-14-2004 08:28 PM

I have alot of studs bent, I am putting in 24 more down the center, trying to releive some of the stress on the other studs. Gonna give it a try atleast.

!!!!One question for you guys..!!!

I have a sled cover that has road grime all over it. Have you guys put these covers in your washin machine? Or will it run all the yellow and black colors together and end with a puke colored cover !!! I can't have a dirty cover :D and dammit no money for a enclosed

MitchStellin 01-14-2004 09:35 PM

Hey Travis, just put it in the wash on gentle and air dry, It will look like new. When are we going riding? We got about 3-4 and 10 is great. Let me know when you go N

Cessna172 01-14-2004 09:39 PM

Glad to see you MI riders finally getting snow. We had it all in Dec. when you all were begging for it.
Now we're just getting artic cold.

sgrady 01-14-2004 10:17 PM

Traviss where are you riding at ?

traviss 01-15-2004 06:17 AM

Thanks for the info mitch.. Don't know when we'll go riding, my paycheck for the week doesn't let me get past our house up at the lake   :D I must be throttle happy cause with this 800 and 9.5 gal of fuel I get about 70 miles to a tank.. sucks can't go to far without running outta gas  I am headed back up to the lake (oscoda) tommorrow, Talked to my uncle last night and they had 8-9" and it was still snowing as of 9:00 last night.

sgrady. Most of the time I ride around oscoda, glennie ect. We have a home on the lake in oscoda and its nice to come home to a warm house after riding around in the snow :D I live in flint and don't do much riding down here, first decent snowfall was yesterday.

GLH 01-15-2004 07:22 AM

Make sure you don't hit Parnell in his Saber with that snowmobile.

Tip Up Town ??????

Anybody goin ???

I had to back out due to work load this week ?!!?!?

Anyway... who's got the best Tip-up town STORIES ???:D

Cord 01-15-2004 08:17 AM

Less than an inch here. It really, really sucks, because they got bukoo snow up north. Of course this weekend, the mrs is busy and I'm scheduled to put the boat's engine! Next weekend is the boat show! Argh! :hothead:

MitchStellin 01-15-2004 08:30 AM

LEOPAJM, I have a great one. We are all standing on the lake, many trucks, trailers with sleds on them and people are all just hanging out. Suddenly a woman screams and I turn around to see three trucks, all with trailers and sleds on them, go under. There were trucks parked all around these three but they are still standing. It was more fun watching them retrieve them than sled!! It was a major job that took two full days, it took half a day to set up and get the diver down. It was great watching them pick up a burb by the a$$ end with the trailer still attached. What a way to start Tip Up Town. Traviss, I can meet you somewhere if you are going North.

CBlakeNS 01-15-2004 09:05 AM

So lucky, I wish we had snow here.

LEOPAJM, We go to Tip up Town every year. Families on the first weekend, Guys on the second weekend. If you have plans on heading up next weekend shoot me a PM.

Airpacker 01-15-2004 09:12 AM

Travis, if you bent a lot of studs and you have that many on the track now, you really need some driving lessons son. Stop doin burnouts on the pavement, its a SNOWMOBILE, not a drag car :)

MitchStellin 01-15-2004 09:36 AM

Hey Playn, if the snow sucks you can go N with us, I have a 4 place now. Airbud is right Travis, you have enough, you just need to be careful of pavement and the ground. The quality of the studs may be a factor, I have had 204 in a 1000 and never bent one, but I only gas it on ice or snow covered ice. Now I have a 1.375 track and no studs and I am happy. LETS RIDE.

BURNSMAZZ 01-15-2004 09:48 AM

What brand of studs are you running?I've got a ZR800 with 192 Woody's 1.175" over 2000 miles and they are in great shape,192 studs should be plenty for an 800,hell I've got 102 1.425"s in my F-7 and it hooks up just fine.If you've got a lot of bent studs I would take them out and try to get my money back,I know Woody's will replace studs if you've got a problem with them.

Travis, be careful out there, the gossip around Bally's in Waterford is a 30 yr old driver was killed and the passenger/finance (a girl we work out with) is in the hospital so messed that she will miss the funeral. I don't mean to be a wet blanket, have fun just stay safe.

DRIVE IT LIKE YA STOLE IT !

I am running the woody's megabite studs. 5/16" longer then the lugs. The hardest ground I have run hard on is ice on the lake and frozen ground/grass ect. But i think most of the bending is from spinning and hitting objects like rocks logs ect  i bought this thing to use it.. I don't need stinkin snow. People say sleds are the ulitmate ride. the best acceceration ect., Give me 18' of fiberglass and 600 hp and 12% slip anyday compared to these sleds. I am still not really impressed with the sleddin world :(

LOL! I found the best hook up... Asphalt :D I bought this thing to ride the **** outta it. I slammed in 24 more studs this evening, now have 216. Adjusted my limiter straps one hole and my ski lift is a better and my heavy steering is gone. getting better the more ya fiddle with it.

I have a feeling my "chip" burned out cause now the exhaust has a good nasty crackle with that MBRP can I put on it a while back.. Screw the tree huggers I like my **** loud :D

Keep in mind It will be for sale in the spring. Gotta build my motor with the money.

velocity260 01-16-2004 11:57 AM

I think I saw the sun this morning for the first time in about a week but the snow is coming back tomrow

traviss 01-16-2004 09:19 PM

put on 120 miles since I got here this afternoon. On the way up the cops decided I was going to fast through tawas and slapped me with a 10 over ticket  But on the good side its only $95 :D

With those other studs and the limiter strap adjustment hook up is a little better, but can't really tell cause I have been smashin through a virgin 11" of fluff :D I must have a found a hard object cause there is about a 2 " peice missing off the side of my ski :( :o Must have been one of those concrete blocks

traviss 01-17-2004 04:48 PM

Well it is evening now and another 135 miles on the sled. Gorgeous day with a good snowfall of about 5". So we have about 14-15" total now. the major trails are all snirt now, so they are worthless. Mainly been bustin all virgin snow again :D :D The lake is 5 miles long I am hell bent on flatting all the snow on it :D

it is a damn gas hog 7-8 mpg on a good run..
