Looking just north of Tampa to Fort Meyers. Looking for 10+ acres within 15 miles of the coast so wife can have her horses, I can have my boat and a big shop for the rest of the toys. So far Ive found property in Ruskin, Parrish, Myakka, Spring Hill to name a few. Now have to check out the areas in person and see what we like.

For those who have followed my attempt to find a place from Michigan to Florida, this winter has proven harder on my 6 surgerie spine than I would have imagined so back south we go...

Trout, sounds like you love the north. God bless ya.
It's -10 right now and Iv'e been in & out of the cold
all day. I have one thing to say about it. IT SUCKS.
I would rather be boating 10 months a year than
the 4 months we get. Of the 4 months we get,
half the time it rains here in the Northeast.
I can say that it is beautiful here though. Just
wish it was warmer for longer.

Consintracy,
Like I said in the original post, I just try to save one person from living in a feezing hell. You come on down any time and I'll buy you a beer and we can sit back and enjoy the day.

Everyone else, sounds like misery loves company.

Me, I'm just trying to help a brother out. Let others see the light.... without it reflecting off the snow.

Just here to help....but some people can't be helped.

Two interesting assumptions- (damn I hate that word )#1) that people who live in the north are miserable, and #2) that they need your help
Just kidding of course I've been in every state in the nation, and every province in Canada. There's a place for everyone.
And yes, I AM looking forward to coming down to the boat show in February.

Guys, quit thinking you have it better down south...you know nothing.

Positives to boating up north in January:

Cooler oil temp

Higher horsepower

Denser water...much denser...you know, come to think about it...it's pretty solid

If the boat breaks down you just get out and walk back to shore

You don't really need to tie up at the dock...the boat isn't going anywhere after a minute of sitting there...it ices back up

You don't need to wear PFD's, you certainly aren't going to drown because you won't break through the top 6" of extra dense water

You really don't need to wear a high SPF sunscreen

You don't need to bring ice along to keep your beer cold

In December it's much more festive and Christmassy on the water than down south...who wants to be down south on Christmas??

Our woman always want us down in the cabin to keep them warm, and you know what that leads to!!

The boat always stays on plane...ALWAYS (odd how there's no bow rise)

No chance of sinking tow vehicle at the ramp because you messed up and backed too far in on the green mucky algae

The water isn't nearly as crowded

No pesky water patrol out to bust you for open exhaust

Poker Run entry fees are drastically reduced

You know I could just continue and go on and on...but I don't want to bum you guys out too much.
