Threads turnning itno arguments!
 

Been away from this site for a while. Just in the last month have come back because I'm slow at work and this is a pretty cool way to pass the time. I ended up leaving over a stupid coment on my part, that I now regret. Thats all in the past now, but since I have been back and posting a little, I notice 75% of these threads turn into arguments

This guy says this, that guys that, and before you know it, members are being chewed out for there OPINIONS. Kinda brutal.

What gives??

It the lack of vitamin D in about half our members. They're cranky! :D :p :)

I guess it that makes sense for us that have to winterize. And I supoes the ones that don't are just defending them selfs eh? It all clear now

As already said before.... Its wintertime and all the northerners are pissed at us southerners because of our ability to use our boats.. hehehe

There are arguements from time to time, but I have been on this site almost everyday for 3 years now and couldn't ask for more of a nicer bunch of folks. Everbody on this site knows somebody or something, and that is just amazing. Whereas before in the early 90's often times you would go into buying used boats pretty blind. Now with OSO, somebody knows about that used boat, been on it, or owned it.

OSO has pulled together people from all walks of life with one general interest in mind. Because of this togetherness, members are more informed, better educated, and not to mention you have a buddy from every state that would buy you a beer anytime.

I have read sad stories here on OSO (DanL). I have read extremely happy stories here as well. And while I have never met many of the people here on this board, I am closer to the people on this board than most of my family.

That's why they make winter OSO gatherings such as the "chill out" coming up on the 31st in Richmond, VA. To relieve the withdrawal pains of winterizing and inject the bloodstream with a little saltwater.......oh and a few Heinekens too.....:D

I'm seasonally depressed...dysfuctional...dehydrated and decomposing...no photosynthesis and working too f**cking much in order to pay for my habit. One miserable son of a b*tch overall. F U...yu got a problem wid dat motherf**cker? Like psychos off their meds...tread lightly! :crazy: :mad: :D

Sun288. The best way to look at it is that we are one big majorly dysfunctional family that despite all the arguements and bikering, are always there for one another in a time of need.

i acidently got myself into one recently as alot of you probably saw. started out just trying to have some fun and it escalated pretty quickly. THAT was never my intention.
im quilty of helping hijack a thread and for that i apoligize. the rest? well , you be the judge.
i think everyone here should be treated with respect no matter if they have a 10 ft. johnboat or a 200 mph skater.

Rippem, yah, we'll hook up this summer. Do you know Mark Dodge 32 fountain, or you must know Sam Madonia, 42 fountain? I'm a member of the TIPC too, so's my father. I run a 288 Sunsation with black and gold graphics, father runs a 36 Apache. Did you run to Hendersons last fall with us?

Not so good, yeah it was 74 today, but I splashed the boat and found the trannie is shot.:(

At least it didn't stop us from boating, albeit at trawler speed.:rolleyes: We were going on about a 30 mile run to have lunch, when the boat wouldn cooperate, I shut the one engine down and idled down the ICW to the Pub and had lunch anyway. No use in wasting the nice weather.:)

So what did the Mrs. do on the long idle back? ;)

We had another couple with us, so we just shot the chit and came in. They are coming over later with lobster they got in the Keys, and we're going to cook them on the grill, then it's cocktail hour and hot tub.:)

Sun288, Yea, I know Sam...don't know that I've actually met Dodge. I did do the run to Henderson, it was a blast on the way back. Dave Powell's crew and I played aroung wave jumping in Chaumount Bay for an our or so before we headed back. It was pretty wild on the way back...what a great time! ;) I had the 32' Velocity "Devil Inside" formerly, which now belongs to another TIPBC member. I was in Henderson with my new boat, a 353 Formula. Got crossed up in the wind at the docks there and almost took out my w/s on a cruiser anchor hanging off a bow pulpit. :rolleyes: Need to get used to "more nose" in the wind! :D 'Cuda, some of the best times with friends aboard have been at "low speed". Good conversation and you don't have to set your beer down. :)
