Chris 232,
I am glad to know you are interested in a Pantera 28.
Sometimes customers spray protectant or degreasers over the vinyls that cause them to turn color with time.We use top grade vinyls on our upholstery. You can run a rag with acetone and it would not effect it.We recently lowered the cockpit floor and added padding underneath the Pirelli flooring. We have also done cosmetic changes to the cabin door, deck hatch, added glassed in Naca Ducts for ventelation, and changed the style on the deck hardware.
If you purchase the 2001 28' I can have the upholstery re- wrapped and add our newer style Pantera embroidery.
Regards,
JO

Jo, thanks so much for your reply. The pic you attached looks awesome, the updates look great, but as much as we would love to have one, we cannot afford a brand new Pantera. The 01 we looked at didn't have anything wrong w/ the vinyl, the marbleing was very uniform and throughout the entire cockpit, though there wasn't anything wrong w/ it, it just gave it a dated appearance. Your new styling looks very attractive..
P.S. I have digi pics of the 01 interior but its hard to see the marbleing..

Chris 232,
If you look on BoatTraderonline.com there are a few Pantera 28s for sale. Also here on OSO there are a few pre-owned 28s that are for sale that are real nice and very well maintained.
If I can help you with anything just let me know.I can be reached by email at [email protected]
Hope to have you as a Pantera owner someday.
Regards,
JO - Pantera

Are you sure that the "marbling" isn't just dirt in the grain of the vinyl?
My vote would be Pantera, it will last you forever, it's not a "cookie-cutter boat" and customer service is second-to-none!! (As you can see...)

The only way to settle this as a possible owner, is to drive the two. I relize you can't right now, but should be able to set up at least a couple of rides in one of each in the spring without driving to far. That will tell you for sure, then, go buy a Sunsation .
