yes i took all the vynil panels out and painted them with special vynil paint, the frt bolsters were grey in the colored area i painted thoses also, i tryed scratching it off after it cured and it stayed on. the cushion in the cabin were leather, now there vynil i have spent 300.00 on the cushions, 150.00 in paint and supplys. the cabinets i painted with dupont enamel, got some trash in it but i can deal with it. next im painting the bathroom door. i will try to find a before shot. it made the boat look 10 years newer. next im going to send it to have the outside updated maybe. a sfopr the headliner it was off white so i just shot it with a couple coats of brite white vynil dye. i added some adheisev promoter to some of the areas the paint supply store said i didnt need to but i did because i didnt want to have any flaking off. and for the ones who think it will i had a baja done two summers ago on the swim deck painted purple and white it still looks the same as when we first did it.wrong pic below

years ago i took the cabin apart in my 1990 42 so that i could update to more contemporary colors was a grey vinyal walls and moss green upholstry. had the benches and bed pad done in white leather and pulled the ice chest cabinet and head cabnits out sent them to a cabinet maker and the re formicaed the tops in a lylac color then had curtains and pillows made, pulled all the carpet out used it as a pattern( kinda) and installed a different color . turned out awsome. if i can dig up some pictures ill post. all for around $2000-2500. but i did all the tear out and install except the cabinets and upolstry. and that was in 1995.
good luck it lucks great
