Has anyone applied Awlgrip below 55 degrees? If so, how did it cure? There are a couple of areas I need to touch up before I drop the engines in and it will be months before it gets over 55 degrees here.

Sorry about that, I'm thinking about redoing my engine compartment, its white now from factory.

You live in sunny Florida were everyone else north of you is jealous. When would you need to use a heat lamp?

Customrigger, whats the going price for algrip, how does it come quart, pint etc......
Do you aply it right out of the can????????/

No, it's a two part system. You need a container to mix the parts. I did it in a spare paint can and then dumped it into a disposable roller tray. As I recall it was around $50 a quart!

200 BUCKS A GALLON ???

Monty 01-21-2004 11:03 AM

$50 a quart is a great price, West Marine charges $79 -$109 a quart for it. I used Vivid Red and it was $309 a gallon, plus another $250 for the converter and reducer. I shoulda' bought a qaurt cause I've got half of it left.
