Holy crap, who's boat was that, did anyone get hurt, it still looks like minimal damage.

CigDaze 01-23-2004 07:34 AM

Congrats!

It sure looks like the same boat to me, as the one in the grass!

WesSmith 01-23-2004 07:38 AM

Fred...AWESOME !!! Beautiful boat !!!

Look forward to boating with you guys this Summer.

Your PM box is full, I tried to PM you back !

Call me if and when you get a chance.

mcollinstn 01-23-2004 07:48 AM

mmm.

Nice plow work there by kaw Liga. Grass appears to have saved the gel.

Kind of reminds me of when we were eating lunch and my cousin said "Hey, I saw the Miss Bud hydroplane going down I-65 yesterday". And my engineering manager said "Prop musta been tearing the hell out of the pavement..."

Kaw-Liga was a song recorded Hank Williams JR. (I think his father first recorded it) about a wooden Indian that used to be in a store in Alabama. I think the store is actually on Lake Martin.

You can listen to the song sometime for the meaning of it but it is kinda cool to have an Apache named after a wooden Indian

BajaRunner 01-23-2004 08:17 AM

Thats the same one. That happened at Lake Travis here in Austin.

Thats a sweet ride, Ive seen it on a number of occasions

FormulaFan 01-23-2004 08:47 AM

After the incident on Lake Travis, the boat was shipped to Florida for repairs. Knowing the owner, that boat is in better shape than before! It is a sweet boat, and was maintained with no expense spared! Good luck with your new boat!

sean stinson 01-23-2004 08:52 AM

That boat is one hell of a boat and speaks tremendously of the structual integrity of an Apache built by Bobby Saccenti. He has taken his lumps the last few months here about his construction but I for one have seen more than one boat do this same manuever as shown above with alot worse results.

Congrats Freddy hope you do well with her.

Sean

Congratulations! Nice floater! Don't sweat the grass. My little Sutphen did that on the freeway when the old trailer snapped in half. Boats are tough.

sgrady 01-23-2004 10:25 AM

NIce Ride Fred Congrats !!!!!!!:D

I was waiting for this one:p :p

No glass damage at all. Not a scratch. Bob S did the repairs which were limited to motors and steering.

Head gaskets blew and steering was bent.

Innovation rebuilt both motors and Bobby put in new Imco steering.

ScalpTaker36 01-23-2004 10:33 PM

I'm very excited to get the Apache back to NY.

I've been waiting over 20 years to buy an Apache. I remember visiting 188th in the late 80's early 90's and watching those babies come rolling out of the factory brand new.

Thanks Fred for your help with the boat, and saving me the OSO membership fee by lettng me become Scalptaker36.

Jim:)
