That thing is nice! Don't know about the purple, but bad azz boat! Triple 1000's.

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 10:39 AM

I think it is, I sent him an email a week ago when he first listed it but I havent heard back yet. If it is he is asking 200k more than he paid. I'll let it sit a while before I make an offer. I know it was missing about 30k in engine parts when in was repoed.

SLINGSHOT 01-25-2004 10:55 AM

HE MAY HAVE REDONE IT...

Strip Poker 388 01-25-2004 11:35 AM

I wonder if it has any liens against it?? :eek:I would Do a title search with the coast guard doc.

What is she doing now?

R Addiction 01-25-2004 11:42 AM

*****!! My 2cents worth!! :hothead:

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 11:50 AM

It was a legal sale. I had all the paper work on the boat to fill out and put a bid in on it but was unable to be sure I could come up with the money if I won the bid. They had all the papers showing it would be a clear of all liens. Jim the guy who owns it was the only bidder.

DaveP 01-25-2004 12:00 PM

last time I was that boat was 2 years ago and their is only one word that describes it.....

ROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It needs MAJOR amounts of TLC......(if it is in the same condition)

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 12:50 PM

Hmmmmm .... seems there is quite a story about this boat and it's owner.... any one care to fill me in?

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 01:59 PM

RJ, do a search on her and 47 Outerlimits here in the G.D. fourms. Some of it was poofed by the gods but still some reading for you to catch up with.

Back4More 01-25-2004 02:11 PM

Dude thats not what happen... :hothead:

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 02:27 PM

Uhhhhh..... do I need to put on my hip waders to read about her and her boat? :D

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 02:35 PM

It could get ugly.

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 03:09 PM

Roflmao....... I read the posts in the other thread about KE and JS... very interesting.... I'm surprised I didn't read more about this in the boating publications. Damn,,,, don't pick a magazine for a few months and you are really out of the loop. I have to wonder why someone would take on a partner if their business was doing well... I would tend to believe the posts made by the former employees than what was posted by Julie herself. Everyone puts a certain "spin" on the facts.... but to let her boat get trashed when it represents the work that their company does is idiotic and makes me believe she is just a huckster/snake oil salesperson.

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 03:13 PM

Now go get your beer and popcorn, this thread should stay on the first page for a while.

CAP071 01-25-2004 03:15 PM

Isn't she with Martha Stewart now? :D

Back4More 01-25-2004 03:45 PM

The courts sorted it out...its over now anyways.

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 03:56 PM

What was the final outcome? Did she walk away smelling like a rose... and left the rotting bodies in her wake? I've got to wonder about her activities when on one post Julie is described as taking a limo to a poker run? Stories like this make it sound like the fox got into the hen house, ate the farmer into bankruptcy and then left for another farm to raid. I feel sorry for the creditors that were involved with her. How do you repo fuel and limo rides? Sounds more like she is what I call a "sophisticated debtor", than an actual business woman. People like that seem to worm their way into many types of businesses, then make it horrible for everyone in the industry.

CAP071 01-25-2004 03:57 PM

Please she was a smaller version of the Tyco boss :hothead:

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 04:05 PM

How about Ken Lay of Enron.... here in California we saw BLACKOUTS because of Enrons bouncing power around the states. Christ.... you would think we were a third world country when your city is having rolling blackouts because of power manipulation. The Bastards should be hung up by their thumbs for what they did.... while their own ship is sinking... they were robbing their investors and shoveling the money into their own accounts. All the while you see your energy bills skyrocketing. It is nothing more than unbridled personal greed. Ut--oh.... I better stop before I start going into a rant! :D

CAP071 01-25-2004 04:07 PM

I agree with you REED 100% but they won't spend the rest of their lives in jail they will pay a huge fine and live the rest of their lives in paradise. Martha stewart will just pay a fine n walk wait n see

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 04:09 PM

I just wish I had enough money that somebody would want to try to screw me out of it.:D

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 04:21 PM

Martha Stewart was just plain stupid.... she just used insider information to keep from losing about 48 thousand dollars... She has lost millions in what her stock has dropped because of the bad press. The heads of Enron on the other hand went out of their way to screw investors and the public, much to their own personal gain. Martha should do time, just because she coined the phrase "It's a good thing". :D

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 04:24 PM

Does anyone know the final outcome in the courts?

clearcut3 01-25-2004 05:20 PM

I saw the boat 2 years ago at the Lake Lanier poker run...beautiful boat...but the big chunk of glass taken out of the bottom looked like someone needed some docking lessons:D :D :D

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 07:14 PM

Si, Seņor Trouty!...... Theees side of zee country ees feeled weeth lots of foreeners. But chew don't haves to besmirch my machisimo abouts bee een a white boy!:D

Well, I have seen that boat in person at the shop when KEPP was still functioning. The center drive had the skeg cut off and the trailer was torched all to hell. Really was a wreck. I guess that the repo company came and got it and brought it over to Sanford marina where it was auctioned off. The boat sold for about $150k w/o some parts for the engines. I also know that the interior had alot of stains and small cuts. The boat was hammered. I believe that the owner of Rachel's strip club bought it and restored it, although I would have to see it first.

As for Julie, she and I have had our words in person and on these forums. I have said my peace and will never change my mind about things. I rode out the months with Keith in my office, nights, weekends when he was watching his business fall apart. The allegations of KE stealing his own inventory, the 8 months that he went without pay, the months that he had to sell things to pay the mortgage on the building, the faithful employees that he couldnt pay....it tore him up. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like this. Keith is a first rate person and the employees that left are also great people (Leo, dave, brett, biscuit, etc). Just to put things in perspective, Keith didnt own an Outerlimits, he didnt own a Lamborghini, didnt own a Porsche........... he just had a dresser and a chevy pickup and a reputation that remains intact despite all of the nonsense that has happened. That says alot about the content of his character..........period!

As for the case being resolved.......you coouldnt be more incorrect. There are many causes of action yet to be filed......

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 08:18 PM

On the lighter side, it is not uncommon to remove the center skeg on a tripp eng boat. less drag = more speed, and you don't need it.

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 08:24 PM

It sounds like Julie Sullivan didn't "own" any of those things... she just leveraged herself into big toys with big payments. I've known a few women that were all about "image" and nothing of "substance". They leave a trail of destruction everywhere they go. Their business and personal relationships are a disaster... and the only thing on their minds are whether they can get their nails and hair done by the weekend so that they will look good as they "make the scene" in some club or at a gathering.

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 08:32 PM

Oh Julie was all about "Substance".

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 08:35 PM

Yeah??? Was she into "substance" abuse? Not to confuse substance with material possessions.

dhlaw 01-25-2004 08:36 PM

And now the thread goes into the "POOF" zone..........

LapseofReason 01-25-2004 08:39 PM

Chit it was in poof zone on post #11

Reed Jensen 01-25-2004 09:38 PM

I can hear the whirring sound of a can opener.... did I just open a can of worms asking about the story? :D

LapseofReason 01-26-2004 08:57 AM

No I knew it was going to happen a week ago when I saw the boat come up for sale.:D

This is correct, Jim is the owner of Rachels strip clubs as well as a lot of property in and around Orlando. He also has 2 other boats a 33' scarab AVS and a 42' scarab with triple innovation 600's in it. I have not seen the boat, but know he was having the boat completely redone. The boat was in rought shape when he got it, but also know he would spare no expense in getting it redone correctly.
