OH! You're talking about the cover/lifevest/bagoftools/beer cooler storage area, right? hold the value well too. Brian |
I'm a big fan of the 22 Pachanga also. Ours is an '86 with a 350 Mag. It consistantly runs 62-63 on GPS with a 23 Tempest @4900 (just me light on fuel). I am constantly impressed with how well it runs. I've always had 16-18 Donzi classics for the everyday boat but this 22 with a cuddy runs 5 mph faster than my last 18 2+3 Donzi.
As far as the cabin goes, I've spent many nights in there. Plenty of room if you are solo. Kurt |

i was at the sea ray factory in december. i went on a tour through the r&d department and saw them working on a new pachanga. they said they are working on a 33. i love sea ray and hope they come out with a performance cruiser.

My understanding was that Ray sold the molds to envision. their 2600 pzaz looks like a changa to me. Check out the audio on their website.

don't know much about pachanga's but i have been a powerboat guy for years but my wife wanted to go to a cruiser for the kid. so we bought a new 340 sundancer in 2000. i have been suggesting to the local sea ray dealer to build an express cruiser like the formula 400 ss so i can have the best of both worlds. so when i say the drawings on the new pachanga i was excited. sea ray also owns baja and boston whaler so they feel like they have the powerboat market covered through baja.

Here is my 1990 22 Pachanga. Found the best prop to run on these boats is the hydromotive Q-IV. With stock 454 the 22 pitch is awesome. Pitting a HP500 in this winter and can't wait to see what kind of spped I get this spring.
(I have a set of 22 hydromotive props to sell) Scott |
that is probably what i will do. i feel like the quality of the two are equal but i like the styling of sea ray over formula. but the real problem i have is the local sea ray dealer in austin is great and we all know how important that is. but if not i will probably give in to the formula, you just can't replace the thrill for speed even when it's only 50 to 60 mph.

My '87 P22.(1 peice windshield) I take it yours is newer? Great Boats. Little did I know that it was just the beginning of my sickness. Todd |
