ill tell yaa one thing , after all this ill be changing those filters religiously for now on. no more cheap ones for me either.
Bossman told me dirt is a furnaces worst enemy.

Lapse,

If he has a gas package unit outside the house, continuous fan will freeze him between heat cycles. If it's a split, it definitely helps to run continuous. On my split units, I run extra relays that run the fan in slow when not cooling or heating, and then the proper fan speed for whatever active cycle is called for - that way I'm not running the fan fast between calls and wasting power but still get the benefit of circulation.

I just started reading this thread just now.
I was hoping that he was having an airflow problem causing the overtemp in the box. Otherwise, I was gonna try to call him on the phone to make sure he didn't have a cracked heatbox and be shutting down due to overtemp from combustion air - monoxide alert!!

Glad it wasnt a danger situation.
