Scott, if you're near North Conway, N.H., just outside of town, is route I believe, 16, called the Kangamangus Highway, or something to that effect. It's about 45 miles long. Best motorcycle road I've ever ridden. NO matter what you're doing, find it and drive it. Great homemade ice cream place on the other end. It's well worth it. Russ

I live about an hour away from Mt Washington. The auto road to the top is incredible. No guardrails and 2000ft drop offs!
It's one of the last really crazy things to do that is still legal! 
I highly recommend taking the trip. I believe it's open (weather permitting) from June to mid october. I've been up the mountain in August and it was snowing up there.
