I belive the article speeks for itself. As for our new 39' that will be unvield at miami, handling at 100 mph with 525's on our test boat was "hands off" the wheel at these speeds from the very first test.
Thanks for the reply Mike.

The rest of you don't even read the posts in the thread anymore. 3 replies since Outerlimits themselves chimed in and still no one even noticed.

I noticed the OL chime-in. Didn't give it much credence after his remark about "hands off the wheel at 100 mph". That's just a stupid remark!! You don't take your hands off the wheel at 100 or 80 or 50 or 30 mph. If that was just an exageration,,,,,,,,, then,,,,, again it's a stupid one.

I Did.. (Post #70)

I did see the Ols fact statement above and most if not all of that statement is true..Fact is now Fountain is the Record holder and soon Ols may be again! that is what helps sell boats and gives us something to talk about...
The Fiores build a great boat and it is priced that way. Both Mike and Reggie have something to be proud of(Reggie Did put his name on it) I like both boats and enjoy watching them Jocky for position.I hope in the future to see OLs in APBA and SBI..and join the ranks of Formula , Fountain , Donzi ,Skater and the rest.. not that Poker runs are not a race (Oops did I say that in print) any way On with the Competition..

Why say anything other then congrats and hear comes Outerlimits to try and dethrone them again? Personally the fact that either one of these manufacturers can get a boat going as fast as they are is amazing. What amazes me even more is that they average jow (albiet a wealthy one) can go and easily pick up a boat that will run over 100 miles per hour!!!!!! Insane I think as it was not long ago that a REALLY fast boat was 60-70 mph. Now there are fishing boats that go that fast!!!!

Jon

Yeah!!! I can remember when a boat that would go 45 was fast.... my first experience in a fast boat was a 30' scarab... it would go 75... I was hooked... I couldn't believe a boat would go that fast... then I stepped into a 40' fountain that would run 100 mph... it's good... it's all good... no matter who makes the boat... although I would spell "jow"... "Joe" :D

So, for starters... it ain't a REAL 35'. Take away the beak and the swim platform and you've got what... 31 real feet left!?!? Now... that's cookin' for a 31' footer!!!:D :D

I will take that challenge anytime....Anybody have a 42 Ex they want to run against my "slow" T/S Gun that only has 500's????

We can do a nice open ocean run from the Ca. coast out to Catalina Island & back on a nice snotty afternoon.;)

I enjoy reading the threads comparing one boat over another. I get a kick out of how loyal some of the owners are.

Bottom line is buy what you like and what you can afford and have fun.

OK You are right I have no idea what I am talking about.:D :D

Havasu Cig 02-08-2004 01:52 PM

I agree with that....

This post started as someone saying that a 35' fountain is the same as a Top Gun. I just think the poster needed to be called on that.

With that said, congrats to Fountain on the record. It should be fun to see how long it last.
