I just got back from the Chicago Auto show. They had the car there. I think they did the car a big diservice because they had the hood up in a verticle position to show off the engine. It ruined the lines of the car and took away any resembelence to the original. Everything in the engine compartment was polished aluminium though.
There was about 20 million people there today and lokking at anything was difficult.

I still like the looks of the original....
This will be my next toy. Built by Kirkham, aluminum body, as close to an original as they come but better. 427 side oiler, 500 hp, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds...
The Cobra has always been my favorite car.

I watched the show about the making of this new model. I love everything about it except the exterior design. It doesn't have the beautiful flowing (rounded) lines of the original... especially in the front. I think they really dropped the ball on this one.
Now the GT (40) on the other hand is a real tribute to the original.
