Default Anyone bought a new GTO yet?

Has anyone taken delivery on a new GTO yet? How do you like it and how does it run? Roger

I did not buy/drive one.

Our GMC/Pontiac dealer has a Black/Red 6 speed. Owner of dealership didn't even drive it yet due to snow/salt here. They look smaller than in pictures. Very nice. He said it has true dual exhaust.

My impression: A much better back seat than my Formula. Interior quality is much better than the Formula. Sticker shows list, then $5,000 "market adjustment". Dealer will deal over list, but problem is other dealers are willing to pay over list to get one for their customers.

Also, because the automatic gets hit with a $1,000 gas guzzler tax, the 6 speed actually costs less as a $600 option but not a gas guzzler. Hope this info helps. Good luck. I'd buy one however in the last three years I've spent way too much on toys.

Sorry, I'm just too old fashioned. I would not buy a new GTO. However I would love to have a 68-70 Ram Air IV or even better yet Ram Air V GTO.

To me, the new GTO just does`nt cut it. It looks like an oversized sunfire.

I was just wondering. I bid and won one on e-bay for a little under list. Will advise after I get it. Roger

We have one at our Dealership. Nice car motor fits in well. The weather has been to crappy for us to take it out. A few of the salesmen have and they say it runs good. But what the hell do salesmen know!!!

Looks like a Neon, shouldn't have the GTO legacy/name attached to it.
