I like trucks myself. Trucks seem more versitile to me. A crew cab can seat 5-6 and still carry a bunch of stuff. I think trucks tow better too.

If you must have an SUV then the latest issue of Motor Trend just tested the:

Nissan Pathfinder Armada SE
Dodge Durango
Chevy Tahoe LT
Ford Expedition NBX
Toyota Sequoia SR5

The Dodge won it hands down 1st place

2002 Excursion V-10

I'm a GM man but have been VERY satisfied and surprised with our Ex. It loves gas but it's a drop in the ocean compared to our boat. Besides I'm not going to spend $60k on a Suburban with an 8.1 Liters. Even the used ones are priced way higher than the Ex.

I'm looking at a truck right now. I want a 4 door short bed that is as plush as our Envoy. I read the four wheeler articles and must agree, the Nissan Titan is the one for me.

Thanks for the feed back I like the tahoe but I think it might be a little soft fot towing. I have driven an f-250 extra cab very nice. I guess half the fun is just looking around.

Troutly, your new truck should look great pulling the new formula.

Masi,
Unless you are planning on getting a bigger boat, the Tahoe is more than enough to tow the 242!! You won't even know it's back there.

Just traded a 2000 Excursion in .. V-10 with 80k miles on it. Towed quite a few things w/ it , 28 Panteras , 24 Skaters , 24 Proline , 69 Impala , ect ect .... never any problems towing ..but it never did feel as stable as a dually. Always got a little sway when passing trucks running 70 - 80 . Our 2000 Tahoe was a POS , went thru 2 sets of brakes and a tranny within 3600 miles . Loved the Ex but We are back to trucks..
