When caught on OSO while working, what discipinary do you get?
 

Just got caught again on OSO while at work. I get off easy- the Boss wants a ride my boat everytime I get caught, my boss will be spending ALOT of time in the boat this summer..... What disciplinary happens to you when you are caught???:p

none so far....we all scrwe around a little bit here and there...

:D nothing here....my boss is a boater as well....when he comes up he just asks "whats new on the board? " :D

Hasn't happened yet.
But the policy is, first is a written warning then probation, then you hit the door.

The funny thing is that many employers spend a lot of time and money making sure employees are not on porn sites. Meanwhile, employees are all over the internet going to other sites and not questioned. That's been my observation anyway.

That's exactly what happens here...the only times anyone ever gets busted is for porn. I wonder why? :D :D :D

Nothing happens to me since I control all the workstations from my location. Since sales have been slow I have seen a lot of browsing. The boss browses for porn, his wife browses religious sites. (Interesting relationship) one of the secretaries browses for cooking recipes. Me? I'm doing all the sales orders working up to my weekly commission cap. (Which I reach every Wednesday) One of the machinists loves to browse the DNC site and www.salon.com for some strange reason he often has problems with his connection. :D:D:D

I give myself a serious talking to and remind myself that I'm not making any money while I'm screwing around on the computer. Then I argue back that that is the reason I'm self-employed so I can screw around when I want to! :D :D :D :eek:

Usually my boss is sitting next to me on another computer playing cards over the internet. That or you cant even get online cause someone else beat you to the open computer.:)

Since I'm responsible for the network on a Navy Base, I just say I'm monitoring response time.

Amazing responses to this thread. I work in Information Services and we get to see what people do all day long. A LOT of F8cking off. My company is pretty aggressive with restrictions on internet surfing. (the reason I don't post much during the day) We have what's called a content filter that checks all outbound URL's against a database, if its not in the database then you can get there. OSO is still open, but I don't make a habit of hitting the site during the day, I'm saving it for when I really have an issue I want you guys to help me with.

Next step is posting top 10 non-business surfers on the company intra-net for all to see.

When I catch me surfing OSO at work, I usually fire me.

I hate it when that happens...

If it's boating season, I usually teach myself a lesson by sending myself boating!

Then I realize how much gas costs and I always end up back at work.

Usually I get asked to pull up some of the great boat shots.

I never surf any of the porn sites
