Officially Reggie Foutain has it from a sanctioned standpoint; Outerlimits has it in a "real sense" as well. Hey they both did 160 or so....
SO time to move on...set your sights on 200mph...and then bring some improvements to the product line...Research and Development and speed records mean nothing if the consumer does not benefit...
Reggie says a 100mph+ 42'er with only 525's in maybe 2005....Ol can do it too
....time for Formula, Cigarette, Sonic, Pantera and the rest to do the same....
....if they can do it so can you.. other guys...Formula...with your quality now you need a more efficient bottom...back to work Porters....
...your survival depends on the CUSTOMER...and the CUSTOMER wants both quality and speed...
...so every 38'er is capable of 100mph+ with only 525's..if Reggie and Ol can do it you better too or pack your bags...
....get off your butts you guys and make this a competitive industry...Don Aronow started one company after the next because the only one good enough for him to compete with was himself...and you guys still have his "Cigarette" killing you in these threads...hey Reggie, Porters and Jo....go out and get a Cig and see what makes it tick....give us at least one other boat that has the kind of loyality that boat has...close is no cigar..and talk is cheap...160mph is walking the walk baby....they both won and the rest of you couch potatos better get to the drawing boards...right now...CIgs are close...but time to tweak folks...there is a better faster Cig out there....don't quit while you are ahead....break barriers...why not a 100mph Top Gun with only HP 5252's? It aint gonna happen if you rest on your lusrels...you are all good but the bar has been lifted...CIgarette ought have the next world speed ecod eh? How about Cigarette in more of the racing activities too...get on it BOYS!

Nice post. . . . REAL NICE POST. . . This is TRULY what it's about.
It really could not get any better than this. There are NO losers - either Fountain or Outerlimits. Fountain can legitimately lay claim to the Fastest V-hull. . . but so can Outerlimits - each TRULY believes that their hull is faster. . . and there are certainly facts to support either argument.
ON TO MIAMI. . . 2004 should be an interesting year.
