I was lucky enough to go for a ride in the 42 OL. What an awesome running boat. I was impressed with the total package, the 1075's were very nice, started right up idled all the way out with no problems and had a lot of power. With 6 of us in the boat in full fuel we ran 112 on the analog GPS speedometer and the boat was still pulling. We ran out of room but I know there was a few more mph to gain. Bob Russell showed me the recall on the GPS and it showed 124.

If anyone looked very close at the 42 Fountain in the convention center you would have noticed that the motors were just set in with exhaust hooked up. no other plumbing was done. They, like everyone else were just trying to get it in the show.

Could be..I dont think Reggie wants anything to do with a side by side run. But their has to come a time this year that OL and Fountain will meet at a Kilo run. Then the conditions will be the same, water, timing equipment ect. Mike said their is more in the 47, didnt talk to Reggie about the run, but the Fountain camp says they got more too! Im just glad that we have the honor to see it happen. Watched the video of the 47 with Mike and the in boat video of a leisurely 158 MPH pass, boat never wiggled or moved. Taken with a hand held camera. AWSOME!!!
