If I had a Million Dollars ????
Well here I am plugging away at my factory job and the Bare Naked Ladies are on the radio "If I Had a Million Dallors" not that it will ever happento me but what would you do???Killin time here folks its a long way to spring! I'm thinking no debt a pair of Bmaxes and a couple of 850's that I know of for sale for $30K!!!
|
I could almost get out of dept.:o :D
|
I'd get a new ass...... Mine's got a crack in it!:D :D :D
|
Take a drive over to "Lip Ship" and "pick one out".
Then trailer up to Carolina and take "Too Old" for a ride to further inspire him. Oh yeah, call my wife and let her know where I am. |
can you buy a good francise for 500K???? then you would be set for life !
|

Jeeeze Troutly you should be able to get the blow for free:D :D I think you need to count again because uncle sam would take at least a third of that. Now if you deal the blow...... ;) Me, I would light my desk on fire and walk away, then head to Douglas and have Pete build me a rocket cat...140 min speed, then I would be broke and couldn't afford the insurance...then i would have to get another job and wish I had a million dollars...but I would still eat macaroni and cheese. Thats a great song Don.
|
I'd love to set my router on fire too!!but then I'd go to jail for wrecking a $250K machine.....better not! I'll stick with no debt and 850's and Bmaxes!!
|
Mitch Stellin........ You're correct about uncle sam with his 35-40%, but there are ways to slim him down and end with more in your pocket. I think I'd have to invest what's left, and take a long hard look at the whole picture. A 15-20% return on money is'nt hard to achieve as I've seen about 22% here last year.
So if you wisely invested, say, 600K, thats probably conservative leaving a little for play, at a 15% return,in 1 yr, you could see a profit of 75K. At 20%, around 120K or at least somewhere inbetween. Granted, you could,nt go buy that new big Cig or OL but, would'nt it be nice to live off your investment. I guess it's all up to the individual, and whats really important to them. It's nice not having to punch in & out on a clock. Just my $.02 |
10X you cant get that kind of return????15-20% holy crap!
|
Yeah, this would be AFTER taxes!:)
I would take a couple hundred K and start the first "Troutly's Porn and Donut Castle" franchise, cuz porn and doughnuts will always be in demand!! :D Then, skip my ass over to Philly at Lip - Ship and have him put together a nice 38 TG for me, (my wife is jonesing for a TG). Upgrade the house to one with a bigger yard so I can build a big ole barn / garage / workshop for the new TG and assorted "other stuff", and put what's left in the bank for a rainy day. |
if i had a million bucks? i'd buy an outerlimits with a pair of HP525s and maybe a nice paintjob. oh no wait! there wouldn't be enough money left for the paintjob :p
|
I'm not sure what would be the first thing I would do... but I know the LAST thing I would do is tell my landlord
|
I would buy some decent land as close as I can get to Lake Cumberland with about 500k, then spend 400k on land here, then buy Aqua Holics boat, A few new things for my 4 runner, and put some in dads stock options, and then CD the rest of it, keep regular job. Land here is really starting to go up, 8th fastest growing county in the Country, and I think Cumberland land will be going up in the next 15 years. Sell the land then, and move to someplace warm. Oh... Almost forgot- Movado with sport band, blue face, and a nice Tag.
|
wow, don you are really getting old.
is this upcoming birthday messing with your mind. is your next thread going to list the top ten things you have done before turning 40?:D |

you could invest it in stocks and lose half of it:mad:
|
Vacant lots in nice areas of Florida are getting rare. The places we have looked are increasing at a rate of about 22.5% a year. Thats a nice return if the taxes are reasonable. Its nice to have an investment you can borrow against to buy that big boat :eureka:
|
I would Buy OSO and kick all you post whores off :D
Then I would be The Board God! HAHAHAAAAA! |

I'd pay off my debts, give Crazyhorse a few bucks (I probably owe him at least $20 or so) and then spend what's left on a Big Mac, fries, and a large coke. With the remainder I'd put half a tank of gas in my Ram. At this point, there would be nothing left.
Hey, I got a lot of debt!!!!! |

I'm just sitting here thinking about it, and after you pay the taxes, that don't even buy a decent boat anymore. An OL or Nortech with big power will cost more than that. I guess I'd pay off my house, and trade in my Sonic for a new one.
|
After taxes you could buy a real nice used 42 OL with real big power or a real nice new 43 Nortech with mid size power.
I would just put it in the bank for 3 years or so and let it grow some, it would just get me closer to my dream boat. But I still think it will be a used dream boat. Let somebody else take that first big hit. I'll take 200K off for some rich dude to drive it around 20 hours.:D |

Or two. Lets face it, whats the point of having money if you can't do stupid $hit.
|
About $600K into the retire early fund.
Slightly bigger power and probably try the Konrad drives and boxes on the cig. A decent center console boat for the dog to ride in, a used batboat and probably sell the house and upgrade a little here at the lake. I doubt that I would spend $300 of it. |
Re: If I had a Million Dollars ????
No changes here,
it would be nice to have however! |
I'd by one of them real fast cigarette boats....
