Merc ITS is it worth the $$$$?

I like the look of the ITS system and think that it really cleans up the transom. I have it on my boat and I think that I have a little bit (maybe 1-2MPH) more top end speed than a boat just like mine with a std bravo and no box. I don't know how it would compare to a boat like mine that has an extension box, but my guess is that it would be faster with the box.
