I just bought one in December at Office Depot.
Canon A60, 2 megapixels, 256MB card. $199 for everything!
Sure, everybody will say you "must have" 3.2 or 4 or 5 megapixels, I researched these things for almost a year, narrowed it down to the Panasonic and the Canon, decided on the Canon based on the special they were running which included the 256mb card (a $79 value).
It's plenty for me for now. For lots of info on cameras go to: www.cnet.com

I got a Fuji Finepix F700. 6.2 megapixel, 3X optical, 2.2 digital. Came with charging/download cradle and USB cable. $400.00. I got it for the new baby but also takes great macro shots of the corals in my fish tank!

I went on consumer reports and checked out what they said. They also have links to stores for the best deals. I bought my nikon thru newegg.com. There are a lot of other places to buy them cheap. I bought a coolpix 5700 for 680.00. I love it. It was worth the money to subscibe to consumer reports. Later Cliff
