When you want a clear resin, what do you use?
|
cord- i use Clear Silmar 249 from U.S. Composites in the laminate and just a clear gel coat for the "window". since i'm using the carbon fiber for the apearance its not really necessary to do the layup in an epoxy. the weave in the carbon is very sensitive and has to be handled very carefully. cool stuff to work with, i can see myself using alot of it in the future

Thanks for the help.

Cord West System is also clear

I though west system was just a brand name....

BTW Use the word EPOXY ( or at least imply you use it) whenever you can cause suddenly if it ain't "epoxy" it can't be any good  Hell that dash panel will never live unless it's laid up and baked :D :D I was just enlightened by a guy who builds E P O X Y boats ;) |
