4300 Nortech, TMP 750's, and my experience with Nortech

1 Attachment(s)
I leave sunday to go pick up my boat and do a sea trial on Monday, we are very excited, and pleased by the pics and final outcome. It was a great experience working Trond and Nils, you can really tell that they love what they do, the facility is awesome, and the workmanship is tough to beat, in all phases, from the rigging to upholstry. The worked closely with Steven and Eddie my engine builder's from TMP, this was extremely important to me. The best part of the whole deal was working with someone who knew what was going on at all phases, that person would be Terry Sobo. Terry is the guy that truely made the deal, I was leaning towards a 50 Hustler, almost pulled the trigger, and I'm glad I made a right desicion. The boat from my visits actually looks better than these pics, and everything that Terry promised and actually more was delivered, thats what truely makes a boat experience a pleasure. As you all know I dont keep boats, cars , very long, (my wife wonders why we've been married for 19 years) I guess when you have a good thing going you keep it going, thats why my next project will be a Nortech. Hope you enjoy the pics, thanks Jeff Jassby

Projected speed for this 13000 lb floating condo is appr 85:D

Trickrtreat 03-17-2004 01:24 PM

Hey Jeff,

I know what you mean about Nor-Tech, I recently had an unfavorable relation with Hustler which was on an active thread here, Whats up with the Hustler plant.

No call to date from hustler, But Terry called this AM, As we have been freinds for a couple years, He expressed his sympothy and thanked me for the kind words toward his organazation, Then we discussed having drinks in sarasota..

Wow, What a Diff.......

Good luck & Happy boating

Doug Biddle

Jassman 03-17-2004 06:01 PM

Hey Doug, how ya been, I remember you and your lovely wife at the Sarasota poker run when Pat at Active Thunder delivered my boat (radio Active) and we all went on the run with John and Krista as well. Great poker run, alot of fun. Im trying to make the same run on April 2-3, if props come in, if not there is one later on in the month in Ft Meyers. If you see me stop over and say Hi, talk to ya later, Jeff Jassby:D

Hey Jass, I'll be in Biloxi for the OSS race. Any chance you'll be there???

Love to go for a little ride in your new sled.

Jassman 03-18-2004 02:35 PM

Ron , not a problem, call me anytime, we live on the water, so its as easy as pushin a button on the boat house. It will take about 30 minutes by water to get to the races. I can pick you up there, or just come on over to the house. I think Cyclone-(36 Nortech cat) will also be there, as well as Strip poker a 38 Hustler. 228-216-0900 cell. Thanks Jeff Jassby:D

Ron P 03-18-2004 02:51 PM

Puder, its a 43. the paint job doesn't have as much purple this time, :p compared to Radio Active. I was trying to hold back. and yes, your spelling is what makes you unique, I just have to read your posts at least 3 times to get what the hell your saying.:p :D

That is the prettiest Nor-Tech I ever saw. I'd love to know what you think of the ride.
I can't wait until my wife comes home so I can show her your interior.

Strip Poker 388 03-19-2004 04:08 PM

Jeff you made it back home with it yet??

Jassman 03-19-2004 04:16 PM

Hey Rob, No actually flying out Monday, testing tuesday, coming back Wed. and Leander will be coming to Ft Meyers Thurs and then dropping off at my house Friday or sat. Im slammed with customers right now, I was suppose to be there last week Monday. Lets get together at the races in Biloxi, we can all raft up together, I need a frickin break:D And dont forget about the Ticfa run, thats my favorite poker run.:D

Strip Poker 388 03-19-2004 07:12 PM

Jeff have they ran it yet or are they waiting for you. With all this rain I bet your trying to catch up.I bet your not getting much sleep waiting .

We are diffidently going to both events and we do need to tie up.I think between both of us we will have all the colors of the rainbow on our boats.

Its going to be tight in front of the Casinos for the race boats.I would not want to be doing 140-160 thru there. No room for error with the concrete walls:eek:  Its going to the closest a spectator can get to a boat coming buy.:D

Have a good and safe trip.

Rob

Jassman 03-19-2004 09:34 PM

Thanks Rob, I think its to close to the wall, I'm a little conservative:p will tie your boat on the outside, closest to the oncoming traffic:p :D The props that the boat was tested with only turned 4500 @ 78mph, the revs are set at 5400, but can be moved up to 5600, but the additional hp isn't worth the strain on the motor. Looks like 85 is attainable, I will let you know when I get back, and post a few more pics, thanks Jeff.

Thanks RJ1340, my wife loves it too, and has been buggin me to get down there and get that boat home. As to the ride, its awesome, very smooth, its a heavy boat, that slices through the waves, handles like a 38 foot boat. When I tested it in 3' waves, it didnt phase the women sitting on the tops of the rear seat, it just went through it.

Jonas, same story as Radio Active, don't be jeoulous, its got your name written all over it, Jo'nas, Jon'as, call me in August, it could be yours:p :D :D
