Default Boat Hauling

Does $1800 seem about right to have my Topgun hauled from FL. to Mi.(1300mi.) Is there a per mi. rate that is kinda standard? Thanks.

I had a buddy that charged $2.00 a mile - sounds like you're doing OK

I have freinds that haul, and they charge between 1.25 and 2.00 a loaded mile. Sounds about right.

I am thinking about having my 36' Spectre hauled to Montauk Pt. on Eastern Long Island - ready for my use during the first week of August. At the end of the week (approximately), I want it returned to its home port. I live on Smith Mountain Lake just outside Roanoke, VA.

The boat has a 10' 2" beam. I think the run is about 500 - 600 miles each way. Any body interested? PM me a quote?

Default The price is OK by the market

At gas prices now, $ 1.50 per loaded mile good.

Plus you want an insured and licensed hauler to do it.

$1.50 is a standard rate, as long as the hauler is insured with the proper authorities you got a good deal. I usually charge $1.50/mile to have the boat shipped on a flatbed tarped.

On the other hand if you paid Joe Schmo with a dually for your haul and he is'nt insured or licensed you paid to much. Down here they charge about $1/mile Joe Schmo rate

Spectre Man, I can ship your boat but I will have to buy permits and it will cost a little more...Let me know

105mph_38_2003 - A little bit more than what, $1/mile or $1.50/mile? Also, can you do the job with the dates and time frames as I requested? Maybe, could you just give me a fixed price for both ways (complete door to door including permits etc. etc.). TNX.

BTW - Does the 38 in your name imply a 38' foot boat or does it mean a pair of 38s as seen in your avatar?
