Biggus gets thrashed by the ignorant...
fools that are on the Winni web page! What's up with THAT!? I just finished reading that whole thread and you would think you had a steak tied around your neck and walked into a lions den! I have to admit - having a house on the lake and dealing with some of these people every weekend - it was entertaining! They love to hate the player AND the game. Sorry bro', just had to share over here.
For some light - reading go to: http://www.winnipesaukeeforum.com/in...mes;read=77884 and check it out. And for those of you that are thinking about adding your .02, don't bother. The moderator is a tool and reads EVERY post prior to putting it up. I once tried to voice my opinion on an incident last summer - that directly involved me - and he felt it to be "too negative" so he never put it up! Compared to what we put it up here at times, it was fit for church! No freedom of speech" rights on that board. :D |
Some funny reading...poor Biggus...I like the kayaker that can't understand why Big. would want to replace his 70 mph boat engines with power that will put him in the 80's...He can't understand why and want's Big. to share why...I say take him for a ride and then he'll know why!! :p

Some people sure have their heads up their butts, don't they?
|
Oh please ..that board is rediculous .. The moderator thinks he is the mind police.. Nothing ever gets discussed other than the weather .. Kayakers have their place ..and it aint out in the middle of a busy channel on a saturday ..Deathwish

Maybe it's a good year to have an OSO get together on Lake Winni!!!:)

how big is the winni (whiney) lake anyway? We have a few small ones here I will visit to mark my territory. Just as the animal kingdom pisses on their trees to make a statement, I piss to piss people off..... :frog:
|
Winnipesaukee 25 miles by 40 miles ..258 islands (roughly)..and a bunch of old yankees
OSO bash! |
Shocking.
There are quite a few there who are about as senseless as I've ever seen. There's obviously some deeply troubled and resentful folks on that board. I smell jealousy. |
The authorites up there are getting bad. Anything that involves performance-type boats and partying is a target for Marine Patrol.
One of the reasons I leave my Formula at home, and go on my friend's Formula he keeps at Winni. I know that safety is a concern, as it should, but I don't need the friggen Quakers out watching after our afternoon fun! |
Also a decibel limit too loud and bye bye ..I run outboards

well, I responded anyway, let just see if he has the rocks to post it > :)

I still have a good time and I don't have to worry about the Marine Patrol braking balls.;) |
Biggus It reminds me when Bruce Lee goes to another school and beats everyone up.:D :D
|
Real short season on that lake ..Lends to alot of low hour boaters with minimal skills.. And the dreaded blow boat syndrome.. MP's arn't that bad unless your pipes are barking .. No overnighting is a joke but the law nonetheless.. Oh and the no rafting zones..
My licence plate says "live free or die" wtf? |
:D :D :D

I say we show Biggus that he has real brethren support here and schedule a lake Winni get together, everyone bring along their rides!!!!Lake Winni Poker Run!!!!!

Gorgeous place but they are a bunch of whiners ( or should it be winers:D :D )
They ain't happy unless they're bitshing about something over there . And the lake front property owners obviously believe they own the lake too. Boats are too big , boats are too fast , bikes are too loud , bike week's to crowded , jetskis are dangerous and polluting. Just have to ignore the 1/2 dozen a holes on the forum and enjoy yourself. I missed last year but hope to make the 400 mile trek again this year , probably late July like SS930. Hey guy , where you stay? I'm usually at the NASWA:cool: Bajabob38, after seeing the water up there , you'd want to whiz in the Delaware(if you already don't):D :D |
They did not post my response ??? :D

I bought my Donzi near a small lake just north of Winni(on the Maine border) , and dragged it back to Jersey. Guess they had a party with 1 less go-fast that was going to be on the lake. I could still visit :D

Actually they posted it!!!!
-------- Have fun Biggus, My boat only goes 80mph but I do have an extra 4 feet on you. Those extra four feet really smooth out the ride running over those pesky kayaks and 18' family cuddies. I’m wondering why they let those smaller boats on the lake? Seems they should have a minimum size required or something it would be a lot safer, if you’d have a 30’ minimum on the lake there would be a lot less boat on the Lake, a lot less accidents, the boats left would be visible and create a lot less pollution. I guess those people with smaller boats, kayaks and sail boats have the right to use the lake too or else it would be unfair to target single groups for exclusion. That wouldn’t be in the American spirit to exclude people because of the different matters in which they pursue happiness, would it? Care Biggus. |

You guys are killin' me!!:D :D I feel like I opened up Pandora's box with this...;) :)
So, as a waterfront property owner, (been going there since I was 10 mo. old) we are not ALL of the ilk that we own the whole lake, just most of it! (hehe). And I agree that there are a bunch of whiners over there, but the majority, > 50% are very good people. And the water is beautiful, I'm not sure what the pissing in the Delaware comment was all about, guess I need to go to the Delaware River and see?;) Unless it was about the water at the Naswa, that is kinda gnarly down that way, but with 200 people cocked and too lazy to walk to the can, what do you expect? Thank god that's at the end with the dam and the outlet... The point is, if we went to to Lake George or Champlain or where ever and tore the place up, Shane would have to be trading in his Skater for a Jon Boat with a 4-stroke 10hp. Merc. on it, and GL' would be chasing us with the 42' doing his best Walking Tall impersonation. :D The slam on Biggus wasn't about the noise so much as the assumption that ALL performance boaters must be irresponsible A$$holes that drive out of control all the time, and we all KNOW that is the exception, not the rule - right boys!? I love that lake like you Florida folks love the keys, and as much as prob. most inland boaters are partial to their lakes and rivers. We do need to do our best to preserve the waterways so our kids can enjoy them like we have. At the same time I am not saying that the clowns that slammed Big. were right, as you read it they were waaaay off base thinking that just cuz he has a big Cig. he MUST go around looking to swamp every kayak he can find. We all have our place in the boating community, and I like to flip-off the blow-boater that just gave me the finger for "disturbing" his quiet time as much as the next guy, but that makes me just as bad thinking that my way is the only way to go boating. (Ok, so we know more or less that it is, but it would be wrong to admit that in this thread...):) So, the moral to my story that I am SURE I will take heat for, play nice in the sandbox with the big toys so you do not perpetuate the rep. of that "big bad irresponsible owner of one of them big cigarette boats". Damn, after all that... is it Spring yet!?!?!? I have a lake and small children to go out and terrorize!! ;) :D :D |
WOW! How about that!!!! :D
GLH, dude you kill me!!!! :D I just take it with a grain of salt.. My wife and I are seasoned boaters of all forms (excluding sail) :D and the boating season up here is short. We choose to run a vessel that can handle whatever the conditions might be at any given time. :D and we are said to be irresponsible and reckless. Kurt  |
Dothemath,
The comment about whizzing in the Delaware was nothing bad about Winni. It's just that the Delaware is full of junk , logs , RR ties , tires (and wheels) and your lucky to see your ankles when in knee deep water:eek: . High speed boating can be good training for a slalom course:D. So in other words , next to Winnipesaukee our Delaware River in a toilet:( . Case in point...I can leave my Formula in for a week at the NASWA and the bottoms still white. Four hours in the Delaware and it comes out with a brown stain that will not just wash off:crazy: |
Do the Math...
I have Been on the lake Since I was a Kid Also... I try not to read the Winni Forum Cause I get So P.O. I cant see straight..Sorry to see Biggus Getting Trashed As All of us do on that site..Also they were taking shots at Mark(low Blows)aka summa..... They All Can pack up there Kayaks and go to Winnisquam and there attitudes... As The WinniKLakers site Has done It at least allowed us to band together.. The Offshore boats 25-?? feet are not the problem up there its the lac of knowledge the other boaters have most of us with bigger boats have come up through the ranks to what we have now.. the rental boats and jet skis on the weekends are and always will be the problem up there!!oh ya and the marine patrol ... Dont get me started..... Im with you on this one all the way!!! |
Name the time
Originally posted by craig223 Maybe it's a good year to have an OSO get together on Lake Winni!!!:) Anytime is good with me!!:D |
mopower~ Thanks for clearing up the Delaware thing, sounds a bit "suspect" down that way as far as water quality goes... :)
Blown~ Yeah brotha, I hear ya... it's not the performance boaters, it's the tree huggers, Kayakers, and folks with the 15' Alumacrafts that ***** the most, and most of it is based on lack of knowledge or one bad apple that tainted their opinion. And just for the record, I have seen Marc - "Summa" do a few things on the water that even I have trouble digesting, but all in all he's ok.;) And I agree with you on the structure of that forum, it is ridiculous what the people on it and the moderator say and do, they make it out to be for "all" but if you own a boat over 24' and it can do better then 50 mph, you are not welcome to talk about it unless you want to get thrashed. Let me know when you are up with your boat in the water and we'll hook up for a drink or two and we can talk all about the lake lice, the boat rental freaks (who are the only ones that can get through the witches without a scratch btw  :D ) and the cream of the crop... the lake patrol! Ohhh, the stories we can swap I am sure! I'm right outside Center Harbor, easy by water! I think an OSO get together would be a blast. -Mark- |
as summer gets here I will PM ya when we are on the water and we can hook up at the Naz or at your house sounds good. An OSO Poker run would be a blast I think(something to talk about) get Audio and Biggus and the rest (Animalhouse!!!!) That Will leave and impression
Latter Bob :D |
WOW.I was thinking on going up for a weekend this summer just to check out the lake. Now I'm waiting for the OSO party and bringing the boat. Could be interesting to say the least.
|
Yeah , I was kinda thinking the last week of July , then shoot over to Champlain for the Milk Run 7/31 and back to Jersey 8/1. You gotta get outta there before the weekend , it's a freakin madhouse:eek:
|
38 summers on Winni.. One thing is for sure ..The lake has gone from a fairly quiet summer retreat with a few old chris crafts, cantury's and skiffs running around to a full on fiberglass circus on the weekends .. Alot of people "especialy old yankees" hate change !
The MP's are mostly colledge kids .. One time while pulled over at the wiers for the show me you life jackets routine ..A pair of jet skis , one on either side of us and both less than 20 feet away at full throttle soaked us and the cop ..He looked up then continued to herass me for nothing (routine safety check ) I asked him if he was going to do anything ..he said to please show him my fire extinguisher.. I couldn't believe it .. I pulled my regi from his hand and told him if he didnt see anything wrong with that picture than he no longer needed to be wasting my time, and left ..He started yelling and turned on his blue ..but guess what the cop boats dont go 80 .. Bub bye |
It's only 1200 miles from St. Louis to Lake Wini, and I'd love to see that part of the country and admire it's beauty from the helm of an over-powered offshore killing machine. But after we've tweaked their noses, and then gone home, Biggus and others are left with an even more angry group of self-righteous #^*$^@ers. While I'm not into appeasement, and enjoy antagonizing the intentionally stupid, let's let the local OSOers decide if we should take over the lake for a weekend.
Sure does sound like fun, though. BTW - Maybe Too Old could trailer his boat up there to prove not all big offshore boats go fast... or at all!:D For the record, I'd suggest the same of AudioFN's boat, but without stringers, it really should not be trailered. |
Originally posted by mopower probably late July like SS930. Hey guy , where you stay? I'm usually at the NASWA:cool: http://www.christmasresort.com/ I heard it's really basic, but what sounds nice about it is they have their own ramp, slips, and trailer storage... and it's right on P. Bay. It sounds really convenient and the price is cheap enough. I'm not sure how large of a boat this place can accept, but since I'm just bringing my little boat this place will workout fine for me. Let me know if you guys want to get together during this time frame. |
