COOL

Jassman 03-27-2004 09:36 AM

Mat, that truck looks awesome, those wheels make it look really stout. Any engine mods, like modules, dual exhaust. Jeff

Mark D 03-27-2004 10:27 AM

Outstanding!
Stands way out!
I am in the market myself for a white dually, diesel, crew, etc.
But you almost have to mod them to make them look "right"

You're there!

mcraymond3 03-27-2004 11:08 AM

PurePower,

Call me, I can find you one. Or visit our website.... www.sandersford.com

Jassman, I added the 4" exhaust. Thats all for now. What do you suggest?

Just added the Edge module to my 6.0 All I can say is holy crap! Luckily there are three settings so you can "tone it down" if you need to.

bling bling :D pimped:D :D

Playn 03-27-2004 11:51 AM

Very nice!!!!

Jassman 03-27-2004 11:54 AM

Matt, I have the Edge, with the Attitude screen. 5 power levels, 40,60,80,100,115 up to 290 TQ. The 115 was dynoed @147hp, too much or the tranny which makes for bad shifting. Shifts perfect in level 3, thats where I keep it, for driving and towing. Added an airbox-AFE Pro-Guard 7, and DPPI dual exhuast , the turbo back with cat still in tact, sounds like a jet fighter plane, but stock in cab with windows up. Nicest Ford dually Ive ever seen

Thats what the dual exhust looks like, 2 - 5" cans.

Dock Holiday 03-27-2004 12:14 PM

Awesome!!!!!!!!!

How much lift do you have under it for those wheels and tires?

MitchStellin 03-27-2004 12:19 PM

Nice truck, those rims and tires look great, I am looking for rims right now. I saw a set of 26s for $23,000 without tires:eek:   I am sticking with 17s since I travel so far and a tire problem could get ugly in some hick town that has never seen an 18. I like the white front. Soon I hope to post pics with a boat behind mine.:D I messed with a chip and it was not good, the Excursion has so many bells and whistles that no chip mfg will give me a straight answer, When I say X, they all freak out and most won't even help me. Boot has been great thru all this. I feel sorry for him having to deal with me. I hope the new one he has will work, I need the power for towing:D The 6.0 will be a nice set up for you, I have the 7.3 and have not had a single problem in a year and 40,000 miles.

FeverFan 03-27-2004 12:47 PM

Looks good! Is it a F550, or just the wheels make it look like one?

Sydwayz 03-27-2004 01:11 PM

Very nice! (For a FORD! :D )

I agree with Troutly. White door handles and white mirrors will REALLY set it off.

mcraymond3 03-27-2004 01:35 PM

It is an F350 with a 2" lift. Thanks for all the feedback!

You are right, I do need white door handles!

NASTY HABIT 03-27-2004 02:49 PM

Nice ride.....XLT sport ?

mcraymond3 03-27-2004 02:55 PM

It is a lariat that I put painted bumpers and grill from an Harley super duty on it.

Jassman 03-27-2004 03:08 PM

Thats why, I was trying to figure out why the door handles were different from mine, I have the xlt sport, makes sense now, plus the lariat has firmer and nicer seats.:D

mcraymond3 03-27-2004 08:26 PM

Jassman,

your new boat is Awesome! Can't wait to hear about how it runs!

eyezlee 03-27-2004 09:54 PM

Nice Ride. That is so cool.

I'm looking now too, but for a SRW 3/4 ton.

mcraymond3 03-27-2004 10:02 PM

eyezlee, check out our inventory. If we don't have what you want, we can locate it.

These wheels came with 8 to 10 lug adaptors. You can't tell from looking at them that they didn't just bolt on.

eyezlee 03-27-2004 10:06 PM

I just PM'd you.

MarkSmith 03-28-2004 08:23 AM

Mcraymond3,
Absolutely beautiful! Get some paint on the mirrors and door handles then you will have my wet-dream truck. I have been getting quotes for the same truck except for the front end and it looks awesome. Is it true that 2005 250/350 is getting new sheetmetal? It is suppose to look like a Tonka Toy? I might hold out for this new look.

R Addiction 03-28-2004 10:29 AM

It's still a Ford!!! :D :D

Nice Truck!!!;)

mcraymond3 03-28-2004 11:48 AM

Mark,
The 05's are going to be a little different from what I hear. In the middle of April, I will be at the Ford meeting in Vegas and should find out for sure there.

Too Old, I am sure you can get adaptors to fit a GMC. Go to chromewheel.com and ask for Bernie. He is in Texas. Don't confuse his website with chromewheels.com

MarkSmith 03-29-2004 11:05 PM

I am very interested. I could buy the truck anywhere. In Illinois, we do not have to pay sales taxes on 1 ton trucks. Is it the same where you are? The used trucks are as much as the new trucks, so I would rather build exactly what I want. The warrantees make it easy to buy new.

Biggus 03-30-2004 06:07 AM

I really like the look of the 22.5 Alcoa's but I am wondering if it would reduce the towing ability with the big wheels making it a higher gear ratio. Will a truck set up like this still be able to tow my old heavy Top Gun as well as a stocker?

How much taller are these 22.5 tire combos than the stock tire/wheel set up?

Kurt

SummerObsession 03-30-2004 09:53 AM

Biggus:
I don't know about the Ford, but my 2500HD actually tows better with big tires (35").
It lowers the RPM to 2000 at 72 MPH.
If you think about where the peak torque is on a diesel, this is where they should run anyway, IMHO.

I just got this guy for my installers...
F550 6.0 4.88 rear. Brand new yesterday. 17,500 GVW. I believe the tow cap was something like 20,000lb...
Pulling a 11,000lb trailer, and another 4,500lb on the bed.

How you like me now???:D

Yep
12 GP29 batteries are inside the tongue on the trailer.
I'd say 1500lb+ tongue wt.. Barely moved the rear of the truck.

My spanish guy calls it "la machina".. The Machine.
