If you plan in modifying it then the 5.0 is the way to go.

I agree that 5.0 is the way to go. I had both an 89' and 94', both new. The 89' kicked a$$. The '94 was a piece of chit (the engine and tranny, not the rest of the car). The 94 & 95 5.0's (engines & trannies) SUCK !!!!!!!! You'll want to plan on lots of modifications. New heads, intake and cam at the very least. Preferably aluminum heads.

I vote for 5.0 had 2 and my ex still has 1 with almost 200K on the orig. motor trans n rear.

4.6 with a vortech reliable smooth power.
I have had many mustangs and currently a 93 cobra with a 408 stroker motor with a paxton novi and a 99 4.6 convertible and for everyday a 4.6 is by far the best way to go.
