Donzi produced 29 Criterions in three varieties:
Criterion: 15 produced. Rear bench seat, walk through between two windshields to the front passenger compartment. Available LH or RH steering. Know where the majority of the surviving ones are. None known to be currently for sale.. Critertion II: 10 produced. Rear bench seat only, no walk through or forward seat. Removeable console between the passengers. LH steering only. Rumored to have been mostly twin turbo motors, none are currently known to exist. Criterion SS: 4 produced. Rear bench seat, no walk through, forward "rumble seat" under a hatch. First 2 had hydraulic hatches, others did not. RH steering only. Blue catalog boat was also the Miamuh boat show boat, currently in my possession :D Wherabouts of the other 3 known, none for sale at any price.. |
Its all original gel coat. Interior is good with now rips. It needs a good detail and buff. Boat ended up in Maine for 21+ years and never used but maybe a dozen times.Been back in NJ for the past 4. Shows 130 hours. Motor is shot and turbos are gone. No line card for the HIN#. I'm pretty sure this is the brochure boat. LH steering. Plane is to clean it up, throw a motor in it and use it. Its worth more to me unrestored and not touched.

My buddy has one. It was owned by Ford and built for him. It is Detroit Lions blue and silver. All restored.
I think he is going to place it for sale. |

Bring it up with you next week Scott! I'm sure we can come up with a motor to run around in until you get something built for it! I know of an old 330 long block that can be had for cheap.

Sounds like a good plan. There are several 22's around that production time that the build records are blank, no info. Must be one of those.
Chip did an awesome job on the restoration, beautiful boat. Is it now for sale, I didn't think he was going to sell it? . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCW1cZLuREI Yes, he is almost done with her, it beautiful boat. 2 weeks ago when we spoke he said after completion he will run it and then most likely sell it. It will be an expensive boat since he has all the documentation of ownership, etc. |
