Flusher for Bravo 1
 

What is the preferred external flusher to get?
Or is it better to install one in the engine room.(if thats the case, then which one of those?)

Get a hose connection that goes through the transom, or above the swim platform if you have one. I love mine, and no need to even lift the hatch. Try a search here in Gen. Disc or Tech forum, as this has been mentioned here before. I want to say Perko, but not sure.

How does that work??? Does it just splice into the intake hose for the raw water pump??? What about flushing the drive??

That's exactly what it does FunHome. When you turn on the water hose, it will flush the drive with as the impellor is not turning allowing water into the engine.

As soon as your fire the engine, the water is sucked right into the seawater pump and thru the engine, so all gets flushed.

ONLY way to go in my book. I see so many phucking around with rubber bands, and tie wraps, and jerry-rigs to get cups and muffs to work.... screw that.

Sounds cool!! Heck I'd like to have that set up, to make it easier when it's time to winterize, plus if I ever get to go into Salt Water I'd be ready!!

Who sells the best set up??

Yep, I just hook my DIY Winterize kit right to the flush fitting, and let her go to work.

I have a new "Mercury Performance Products" orange rubber w/bungee flush attachment, for low water pick-up Bravo's, for sale in the classified. [email protected] Ed:)

Ed, I bought one of those last year for about $65.00 and the first time I used it I burnt up a impeller!!! They didn't seem to work as well as the old style "muffs" that's why I was thinking about getting a flush kit!
