33' apache CC open boats
Wicked Won
Jim, Thank You I am familiar with both of your boats. A short time ago I was passing in Opa-Locka and seen this new yellow boat outside of Concept with Yamaha’s, I slowed down to have a look, After seeing the name, I knew it was your’s. The boat looked fantastic. I also checked out your thread down to the keys, now that’s what I call enjoying your boat. Sorry at this time, I can’t help you out with a flats boat. Caféracer Tom If I’m not mistaking the 33’x 9.5' is a white CC I/O built in the early eighties for a friend of mine who owned FOX GLASS Inc. in Brooklyn N.Y. if you are putting in a pair of 500 H/P engines look for speeds in the low to mid seventy’s, Please post a picture when it’s done, I would like to see what it looks like after twenty years of service. Funny, old resin buckets are still going. Fever Mike The 33’x8’ Apache / Concept boat was built a few years before the 41. But I will say this, the plug makers (carpenters) Nick, Curtis and Victor Chapman where on loan to me from Don to do my project in the late seventies, Nick Chapman did most of Don’s prototyping when he owned Cigarette Racing Team. I produced all the 33' Apache CC. If you are looking at one let me know which one, maybe I can help you with some background.
I produced two different models, The first was the 33'x 8', I designed both the hull and two decks, Sport and CC. Lewis at Concept is now manufacturing the CC with his own deck design. The second was the 33' x 9.5; this hull mold was Don's Squadron Twelve, a cut down old style 36' Cigarette race boat. I designed just the decks on this model, Sport and CC. Joe at Marlin Yachts in Miami is now building this model with his own deck design. Both companies are putting out great products with each of these molds If I can help let me know Bobby Saccenti |
