Holy Smokes 04-26-2004 07:44 AM

Look at the pics now. Boat is a total wreck! Salvage value only.

That guy could've saved some of the per word charge for Boattrader:

"I'm an idiot. If you're a bigger idiot, give me $26,500 cash."

That looks like the old drambuie boat, I think it sunk on its last run in england.

super termoli 04-26-2004 09:41 AM

That could be the Drambuie. It sounds like Drambuie which had quad CAT motors. It ran not even close to 100, let alone 127. I heard a strange story about this boat being damaged in a freak accident involving a train while it was being trailered. Sounded very improbable and odd. It was a while back, can't remember the details or who told me that. Anyone remembers or has any info about the demise of Drambuie? I think I saw it near Pantera facility 4 or 5 years ago...

A transporter got the trailer hung up on a railroad crossing in front of our shop.. A train hit it. It was derigged and sat in our yard for years.

T-N-T Sales 04-26-2004 10:18 AM

With 4 experimental Cat 3126 engines it ran close to 90mph

ScottB 04-26-2004 10:19 AM

I think it got stuck on that train tracks going over that large hump and that is when it was hit by the train. I was told the middle of the trailer bottomed out and thats how it got stuck
