Something is missing this morning....

No, mine is a 87 Stinger 260. But the guy before me switched from red/black/yellow stripes to purple/burgundy/silver and the boat looks alot like a baja or a powerquest because of the white and the purple. Most of these were red or blue. Those look their age.
Heres another one.

It's just a good cheap boat that was well maintained. A lot of these got beat, and some similar stuff from Chris at the same time had problems with the hulls, so the value isn't very high, but I like it for my needs.
Has twin SBCs.

I had big boats and small boats and I have been in the "original Sweet 16" a few times. I have to say that I like fast smaller boats. I got the cojones and love "air time". With big boats you loose the blast of getting splashed and response time. Now I am a mostly fair weather boater too. I don't go into the ocean. So my attitude is all I need are T 496 HO's and Jo! It would take 1300Hp Sterlings to give me the same thrill if I went bigger and why? I am on a smaller and simpler is better thing.

The 390 Ray is great! It can cut through a lot of muck and take a pounding too. The Formula you speak of has a nice cockpit and cabin. Formula is a notch up from a Ray been on them. The model you mention goes in the 50's and is well appointed. For some reason Rays hold their value in my area better. Who knows why the Formula is a better appointed boat.

Well hey Sandisk,
I'm outta here. I wanted to show you my boat because the point is that alot of people on this board (most?) have boats that blow mine away with speed and expense. There's people on this board who spent more on their PAINT than I did on my boat. To most of these people my boat is junk, but I think that they will respect me for not pretending otherwise. The important thing is that I like it, and I'm the one who has to drive it.
I maintain it with pride, and get a lot of compliments from people with big money boats, so what the hell.

Hey if you are in MI and are on a smaller is better thing,
I have a really nice restored 1979 Wellcraft Nova 210xl

Only has about 150 hours on the new block.
No bottom paint. Yes trailer.
Blue and white. Teak swim platform.
22'6" 50mph on my gps (without a full tank...80 gal)
Give me $5,500 bucks and you will be going 50mph next weekend.
