See comment about floating condoms above.
The scenery is pretty cool, especially going under all the bridges, but it all no wake. All the ferryboats, however, are merciless, and WILL NOT acknowledge your existence. The water, though they say its getting cleaner and actually sustains fish these days, is still disgusting to the point that I won't let it splash on me, and I cringe if a dockline goes in.

SOMMERFLIESBY - Anything on the "heart-healthy" menu at LIFES TOO SHORT? I guess if you're into your food breaded, fried and covered with cheese its worth 45 minutes of idling through all that crap to get there, although last time I was there the beer was pretty warm. That's a good thing, right?
FYI - When in Chicago look for the big ugly yellow Sonic with all the antennas on the arch. I will definitely show you how 151 rum cuts down those gas prices!

If the food was "heart healthy" there's no freakin way I'd idle that far! I run or bike almost every day...almost to the point of fanatacism, but I WILL NOT compromise my junk food or alcoholic intake! Yes, I have run 14 miles on a hangover eating chocolate-chip cookies for sustanance.

If anyone's interested, I have an extra slip this year. One in Diversey and one in Burnham. As I only have one boat, I can "loan out" one of them
