I would go 19+ if you want her to get comfortable with driving , if you go 16 she still may be afraid of driving the bigger ones. when I was in my early 20's I would go out by my self on a pontoon, very easy to beach. you should go with a V though and really get her used to that. Ron taught me how to dock his baja I was less nervous when he wasn't around I got really good with the 232 Baja. now I am not afraid to drive our 32 Baja at all and can put it on the Trailer. but have to practice on docking with twin engines. we live right on the water. what ever you get send her up and we can go out and play don't hell at her.... I got yell at and I wouldn't drive for 3 weeks......
He used to let me go out by myself do you think he will with the Cig???? Not yet... maybe in a couple of months

The Donzi is a cool boat, but I think it sits a little too low/close to the water. You need to think like a woman and that means she will want a boat that has a little more freeboard so she will feel confident/safe if the waves are kicking up a little bit. Her confidence is what you need to build up--right????
Good luck and I think you have a great idea !!!!

How about a 1992 23 Wellcraft Bowrider with Midcabin, Eclipse 232, 260/350, Alpha drive, New interior, guages, manifolds, risers, thru-hull exhaust, bilge pump, etc. on a 2003 tandem axle aluminum trailer??
$7000 complete
Then I can go buy a DONZI!!!!!!

I had a 17 whaler dauntles a few years ago. Great boat for cruising around. it wasnt that fast. It had an open bow so it could hold 6 people, comfortably, 2 more then my pantera. plus it was unsinkable. if your worried about docking, etc, a RIB might be a good choice also.

Debbie has already laid claim to my Donzi. 20 foot Minx. It has more freeboard than the Classic. I paid $5400 for it with a basket case engine. The boat is completely unmolested.
