May have to limit the number of river runs we go on. More floating at the lake and coves instead.

I can cruise all day at 50 MPH only burning about 10 GPH. Gas prices might deter me from engine mods that increase consumption and run high octane gas.

Yes, I keep track of hours and gallons everytime I fill up. My boat has a '7 beam and is relatively light for a 24. Plus I have a stock MPI engine. It may sound hard to believe but it is true. I once went 160 miles according to my GPS on 55 gallons.

5 mpg, thats awesome. i think i get about 1. my dads boat gets 1/3 mpg. or 3 gallons per mile. I knew what i was getting into though with boats and just add it to the monthly expense.

The question is will it keep you from boating as much as you want to ?? Oh wait....my fault....you don't even own a boat to put gas in.
