105mph with 900's!! That's pretty impressive considering the non-stepped tiger would run around 85-90 at best with that power......and T2X doesn't think stepps do anything!!!!

Didn't they take the rocker out of the bottom with the X version, or was that I different model. I remember reading that they made it with no rocker because the hull is designed to run with speedmasters and the original 42 had rocker which made it run better with Bravo's?????

I run 82 with about 625 HP in a non step Tiger, 900's I bet would go deep into the nineties with the appropriate drivetrane, Kenny Boyce in California with 900SC's hits over 100 in a straight bottom. Ken's 900's might be massaged a little but I bet that 42x hits faster than 105.

That is correct. They also added a third step. It is smaller than the main two steps. The new hull is more like the Rough Rider bottom.

I personally saw 99.9 on GPS in Havasu (90 degrees/flat water/elevation factor) with 8 people on board and full of fuel on Kenny's Tiger!!! However, his motors are massaged a bit

Kind've funny story too since he let some 30' Magic or something run past us at about 85mph with everyone on that boat waving as they went by. When we passed them at near 100 we waved back but it was odd how they didn't wave again

I've also run 92 on gps in Jims old Green and yellow Tiger @ Havasu. Those motors were stock 900 SC's w/6's as well. It would appear the new Tiger pictured is a good 13mph faster than a conventinal bottom w/same power. That is impressive!

Well here is Don on the bow of his first race boat Claudia and then the 46' American Muscle. ( My personal favorite). They are all classics!

I've also ridden with Kenny many times and have run along side (and behind) pushing him. Besides the fact that Kenny has a very good throttle hand, he understands and studies the dynamics of trim. Let's not forget, his boat was dialed in by Tres and we all know he can get the last drop of speed out of a Cigarette.

G

... and his engines are stock
