I need Florida Keys advise .
 

The girlfriend just informed me ,we are going to Key Largo in late November .

I figured I would ask you people your advise and ratings on the Keys. All she really wants to do is lounge around on the beach and just relax . Try to forget about life for a while ! Maybe take in some cool sights . How is Key Largo ? Are there other towns worth seeing ?

The plan for now is to fly into Miami and drive down . She figures Key largo because it is close . What places should we see ? Where can we stay on a budget ? WHere are the great places to eat on the water ? ( I have to see boats or I'll die !)

If by some miracle ,I get my motor home done , we'll drive all the way and not need a place to stay !! :woohoo: So then my question becomes : WHere can we stay in a motor home ? Can you just stop along the road or beach anywhere ? Thanks for the help .

Take a run to Key West. More to see down there. They have all kinds of Tours down there. From a LightHouse to Hemmigway's house.

November??? Shouldn't you be in Key West?

In Key Largo, check out http://www.keylargoresort.com/ and http://www.chesapeake-resort.com/ is on the next Key just west of Key Largo.

Its all about fishing and diving/snorkeling in Key Largo. See John Penecamp state park.

We are going to Key Largo in a few weeks and staying at Hawks Cay resort. (thanks to Ron P and other OSO'ers for the great info!)

Everything you need is right there at the resort -- bars, several restaurants, shopping, gift shops, grocery store, dolphin swim/training school, adults only pool, kids pool, scuba/snorkeling/parasailing/air boat trips, water craft rentals and sailboarding. They even have a shuttle bus from the Miami Airport if you don't want to rent a car. www.hawkscay.com

But call them directly - while they do have Internet specials, we got an even better deal by talking directly to the staff. (Thanks to a fellow OSO'er for the tip!!)

Anywhere is good, some better than others. Just got back from Holiday Isle,we brought the boat down and parked right in front of our room

We'll be at the Key Largo Beach Resport last week of July.

Anywhere in the keys is good but November means KW and only KW - there that small race thing in KW that month.
