Chris, the ones I got from Fred were not DANA these were Stainless, not sure of the vendor but they popped up with a slight push, as they are spring loaded. Hope this helps, when I get home I can measure them and take a snap shot. Dave B

GOTCHA,, now I understand,,, they automatically spring up,, to close them you have to push down and like a quarter turn or something to lock them down...

The Stainless Mushrooms do not require a turn of the cleat. Push down on it slightly and it pops up. Push back down on it and it locks in place. These are really durable cleats.

The Dana Style are aluminum and somewhat smaller. They require a slight twist to pop up or to lock back in the down position.

Everyone sells these.

Fred... thanks for the info,,, I think the eddie's and such are a bit tall and stick up too much,, sounds like the Dana's are a bit lower profile and what i'm looking for,,, correct ??? as soon as I determine a color I will be in touch.. Thanks Chris..
