Cord, get that hawk set up working and use the boat to rooster the water away from the house Seriously, good luck on keeping the house above water.

Best of luck to you and your wife Cord. Having made my way through a couple of hurricanes and two tornadoes, I can completely understand what you are going through. We'll be thinking of you!

good luck cord, hopefully you can stay one step ahead of the water. It sounds like your getting the same rain we are so far this month we got 7.98 inches and it's suppose to rain off and on all this week, the all time record for rain for the month is 8.05" in 1943 it looks like we may be setting a new record.

Re: OSO member Cord needs local help ASAP!!!
Over the weekend the local highway department ran out of sand, so we used traffic bond. Freekin heavy! This stuff weighed around 100lbs per bag! I filled my truck up so that it had a slight mound to it. I don't know how many bags were in it, but I was grossly over loaded. We also hauled two half ton pickup loads. That got us through the night. I hauled another load with my truck and another half ton load today. It was dry today and the water actually went down 4". We have more rain predicted tonight after midnight, so we'll see what happens by morning. The way the bags are right now, the river could rise a foot and we'd be ok.

Tim, sorry to hear this and if I wasn't so buried at work, I would be over..a few in my neighborhood asked for some assisitance over the weekend with watery basements but nothing like curbing the river....sounds like you have it under control and that is good to hear. I will ask the rain gods to let you alone for awhile.
Last I heard was that the possibility of rain tonight is slim so that is good news. Also heard that the Milwaukee river normally runs 1/2 MPH and today it was cruising at 6 MPH.
Keep that AC unit dry ... I know the furnace will be ok
