I still can't read it very well but Tank answered your question. The court date is only if you want to contest the cite. Being that it was checked as a correctable violation just get it signed off and send it in.

I can't believe the CHP let you off that easy, usually they will write their own mother's. :D

Well.....from what you experts say, I'm doing pretty good! I was wondering if I would have to spend a whole day furthering my education at traffic school. :cool:

The front plate is the only thing I didn't have a response to, even though it was sitting in the center console....I didn't show him it.

Q "Where's the trailer plate?"
A "Right here sir....." (opened glove box and showed it to him)

Q "Why isn't it on the trailer?"
A "I just had the trailer lights worked on and they had to remove it. I should have taken the time this morning to put it on, but I didn't" (BS answer)

Q "Why isn't your new tag on the vehicle? You've had it a month!"
A "Well, I've been busy and I should have put it on. I just haven't taken the time."

Be thankful you didn't get the Traffic School option.
I had two movers in just over a year. First one, I went to traffic school. It completely sucked. Second one, when I went to court, the clerk didn't even look at me, said "pay the fine, or traffic school ?". I thought it was 18 months between. Figuring I slipped through the cracks of the judicial system, I signed up for Traffic School again ( $100 ). Spent a whole day Saturday in August ( sweaty room, no air, jam-packed, ****ty unfunny comedian instructor ). At least I was done and kept my record clear of moving violations. . . . . WRONG. I got notified a month later that it didn't count because there wasn't 18 months between violations.
Only thing made it worthwhile was the pinhead that spun his wheels all the way out of the Traffic School parking lot. Cop was just waiting behind the hedge across the street. Lit him up, cited him. . . . I guess somebody does it every week.
