Questions......CHP Notice to Appear
Officer said that he pulled me over for four reasons:
No front plate
No trailer plate
Expired vehicle tag
Speeding
On the notice, there is only one "correctable" violation shown. The others are in parethesis and noted with "verbal". What did I really get written up for?

It's kind of hard to read, but it looks like he only wrote you for no front plate which is 5200 VC.
If there are no other vehicle codes listed then that is all he wrote you for.
All you need to do is get it signed off and send it in with the processing fee which I think is 10 bucks.

Chris....I made it a little sharper. If you look at the top of that area....it says "correctable violation" for that area. There is a date at the bottom with an address to appear.

Matt....still need your email address. He indicated 64mph on the ticket. I told him that I was not going THAT fast and told him I was going about 58. He just said to me that the limit is 55.
I then told him that I pay his salary.....and he got all pissed. If I were him, I would be happy to meet my employer! Just kidding!!!!

Not sure exactly how it works "out there" but around here the courts are kinda funny. If you know someone you are off the hook, IE. judge/cop is somebody's cousin who is your neighbor's 3rd cousin.
One thing i do notice, he wrote those violations however didn't list a radar/car # which seems to be strange seeing that he wrote speeding on there. Also it says Approx speed, I don't know what kind of BS that is, but approx aint **** in court. I say goto court, if they just give you the tag thing, then roll with it, if they try to hit you with everything, request a jury trial and go from there. ( hire a lawyer or call the clerk and work a plea on your own)
Good Luck, tickets can be a pain in the ass, if it makes you feel better in SC we don't even have inspections.

That's when he gave you a penny and said, "Here's your share for the year back!"
Nort, you must be the luckiest guy I know! Who else would get pulled over for all these offenses and get off with a 10 dollar corectable no front plate cite!? Just get that signed off and your good to go. No speed cite or reg violation no plate cite.

Nort,
The only violation listed on the citation was CVC 5200 No Front Plate. This is a "fix a ticket." Just throw the front plate on, have the back of the ticket signed off by and officer, DMV, or AAA office. You'll get a notice in the mail that says to send in the proof of correction (The original signed off citation) plus $10, and that's it. It goes away. Makes sure to keep a copy of the signed-off citation in case the morons lose it. Pretty painless.
