Went from a 2000 28 Daytona Eliminator to a 2004 Sonic 31SS. Having a blast!

How fast is the 28 with a 525efi. I'm about to purchase one new and I'm trying to weigh the 496HO with 5 years coverage against the 525efi with one year coverage. Any info on the almighty top end is really important to me. But if it's only 3-4 mph faster I am not sure if I want to sacrafice warranty. 8-10 mph would definatly sway me in the direction of the 525.

The word on my 28 Pantera with the 525EFI is 73 with a stock 24 Bravo 1

Going to be a great summer... Got her Memorial weekend, getting ready to go back down to Dale Hollow for a long weekend, can't wait.

500 efi's, Bravo 30's on XR's. Saw 82 with 1/2 fuel and 5 on board. Very pleased with initial runs. Solid throughout and what a ride.
