I have irfanview too... works great for reformatting pictures too.....

This works great with XP. just install, right click on any pic and choose resize. and it's free.

Another for windows users! right click the pic, open with paint, click image, sketch and skew to 50 % close and save changes. works well here and others as well as emailing. Also works for avatars may need to do it two or three time for that! Real simple no extra sites and free.
