If you have never read it, When character was king by Peggy Noonan is an AWESOME book about Ronald Reagan. She worked for him while he served as president.

Reagan was one of the greatest men in modern history. That's why it hurt when Clinton detroyed the image and credibility of the office... Because Reagan had been so presidential. And tough! It was like having a grampa who could still kick your ass.

It's fitting that he died on the anniversary weekend of D-Day. He deserves to be remembered at the same time as our greatest generation.

They saved the world in the 1940's. Reagan saved the world in the 1980's.

My friend, you have said it all!
Too bad he, or someone like him, is not here to save the world in 2004.
